long night 03:00
i heard a sound out in the snow.. i'll stay here inside. there's a black car waiting down the road.. i'm closing the blinds. lights dart back and forth under the door. it's a long night ahead. am i safe in bed? i guess i'm afraid of everything. at least i have found my muse..
2.
when the sun goes down, and the lights die out, oh the fires grow around. and i hide away. in a fog, i stay. for the moment, i am down. someone noticed. someone saw me. i was strumming by the hearth. when the ships are lost, and the lines are crossed, into darkness, we are bound. so you do your best with your second guess. in the end, i am found. someone noticed. someone saw me. i was strumming by the hearth. when the embers stopped their comfort, i was singing to the stars.

lost time 04:02
i could spend time anywhere spinning in a swivel chair, making sounds without a care. do i even have to be there? i can spend a hundred years sailing toward a foggy pier, music playing in my ears, songs that only i can hear. i can spend a thousand lives with a blindfold on my eyes, reciting verses memorized reflecting on this heart of mine. seasons lost and seasons won, i can sing for anyone. will someone wait for days to come, just to see what i have done? will someone wait for me?

monster 03:30
i played that a chord that could fit the sound. i found the words and then i wrote them down. i felt the strings as i played them loud. as the song is playing in my ears, i wish that it would disappear, and return as something more sincere. some monster told me i'd get better. so carefree, said i had it in me. i'm prey to every song i write. so many of my sleepless nights occur when i don't get it right. when when my voice is about to leave and my fingers, they begin to bleed, i'm only thinking how the stage might greet me. some monster told me i'd get better. so carefree, said i had it in me.

7.
the void in my gut is getting big. i lost my attention so i can't think. the walls in my mind are wearing thin. i'm fighting my urges and i can't win. i'm losing control. i'm breaking up. i'm waving arms and i'm starting to hum.. i dream of the days where i share my songs. the pain of their absence is getting strong.
8.
i need this 02:57
my heart hurt today. i need this. i lost my wits today. i need this now. everyone mistakes my sadness for love. i struck a nerve today. i need this. resonating pains.. i need this now. everyone forsakes my passion for blood. i'm a wreck, but i'll be okay..

channel 03:28
i am pulled like i'm chained to a weight, like a long lost lover awaits me, like i'm watching you fade away asleep. this is the sea of the siren's call, this is a lonely attempt to crawl free toward the peak where i'll view it all beneath me. i wish i could channel it for you. i wish i could make it burn for you. if only i'd find the words for you. i wish i could channel it for you. i wish i could make it burn for you. if only i'd do it all for you.

about

my relationship with music

"The entire album is a deeply personal and seamless journey through Hachey’s melodic world and its strength is its consistency and yet diversity: there are no weak spots but many moods and layers."- Arun Kendall, Backseat Mafia

"Hachey writes, records and produces all of his music, alone. The outcome is a distinctive mix of acoustic strumming, synths, and other electronic features that somehow despite the stark differences between the instruments’ sounds and purpose, they lock onto each other fluently."- Deann Snyder, Music for Lunch

"The ukulele steals the show in the 11-track production, creating breathtakingly magical moments in stripped back performances as well as boldly taking on the intense atmospheric drive, with the result being standout synthpop/new wave-inspired compositions."- Tracey Dawkins, New Lease Music

"really good Adam"- Mitch Chisholm, Facebook message
